Registration for Summer 2021 is open!

Summer Registration Policies and Information

  • The Summer 2021 Academic Calendar is on the Registrar's Website. The calendar includes add/drop and "W" dates.
  • Online course limit toward undergraduate degrees: A maximum of up to 4 courses may be applied toward a bachelor’s degree at Yeshiva University. However, online courses (including synchronous and asynchronous) taken in Summer 2021 do not count toward the 4 course maximum.
  • Maximum number of credits in Summer Session: Yeshiva University undergraduates may register for a maximum of 7 credits per summer session and 10 credits total (both summer sessions combined).

Beren Campus Students: Please refer to the Workload Guidelines and SCW's online course policy, and consult your advisor regarding summer course policies prior to registering for summer classes.

Wilf Campus Students: Please consult your advisor regarding summer and online course policies prior to registering for summer classes.

  • Log in with your YUAD username and password (look up your YUAD credentials at www.yu.edu/findid if you do not know them)
  • On the top header, hover over/click on “Students
  • Select “Undergraduate
  • Click on "Banner Self Service"
  • Click on "Student and Financial Aid"
  • Click on "Registration"
  • Click on “Look Up Classes
  • Select “Summer 2021” as your term and click “Submit”
  • Click “Advanced Search” if you only see the options for Subject
  • Under “Campus/College” (not “Campus”) scroll down to select:
    • Combined First Half” for Summer Session I (June 2 - July 1)
    • Combined Second Half” for Summer Session II (July 6 - August 5
    • Full Session” for Full Summer Session (June 2 - August 5)
  • Click “Section Search” (Changes may be made to the schedule periodically, so please check for updates.)

  • Go to https://insidetrack.yu.edu 
  • Log in with your username and password 
  • On the top header, hover over/click on “Students” 
  • Select “Undergraduate” 
  • Click on "Banner Self Service"
  • Click on "Student and Financial Aid"
  • Click on "Registration"
  • Click on “Add or Drop Classes” 
  • Select “Summer 2021” 
  • Click on “Submit” 
  • Enter CRNs in the boxes on the lower portion of the screen 
  • Click “Submit Changes” 

Incoming students who have not yet registered for Fall semester classes may have a "First Year UG Registration" hold. Instead of registering online, please fill out the Summer Registration Form and email it to your campus registrar; they will override the hold and manually process your summer registration.

Undergraduate academic courses in Summer Session are open to current YU students, students visiting from other colleges and universities, high school students entering grade 12, and recent high school graduates. 

Priority Application Deadlines

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, space permitting.

  • Academic Courses - Session I: Apply by May 26, 2021
  • Academic Courses - Session II: Apply by June 30, 2021

Application Information

Complete our brief online application before you register for academic courses in Yeshiva University Summer Session. The Summer Session Visiting Student application will open on March 15. You will need to submit an unofficial copy of your transcript and a $65 application fee.

Your application will not be considered complete until we have received your transcript. If your transcript is not received prior to the start of the summer session, we may decline your registration.  

Summer Registration Policies and Information

Enrollment Limits: 

  • High School students entering grade 12: Can enroll in up to 6 credits per summer session and up to 10 credits maximum for the summer.
  • Recent High School graduates (graduating 2021): Can enroll in up to 7 credits per summer session and 10 credits maximum for the summer. 
  • Visiting college students: Please check with your home institution for relevant policies. 
  • Auditing a course: Students may audit up to 1 course in the summer. Students will be charged the cost of 1 credit to audit a course. Students who wish to audit a course should complete the Visiting Student Application and contact summer@yu.edu for the Request to Audit a Course form.

High School Student Eligibility:

High school students must present a high school transcript and a minimum GPA of 80 (or 2.7 out of 4.0). If your average is below this and you feel that you are a good candidate for YU’s summer programming, please submit a written statement to summer@yu.edu explaining what you hope to get out of the summer program, the supports you have in place to be successful, and any other information that may help us understand your preparedness to succeed. 

High school students should be mindful that a grade in a credit-bearing college course will remain on their permanent academic record and that grade might influence college admissions decisions in the future. 

Summer 2021

Academic courses:

  • Tuition: $575 per credit
  • Registration fee: $100
  • University fee: $110

Nonpayment Deregistration Policy:

If you do not pay your summer bill in full, you will be deregistered from your summer classes.
Waitlists will be active for all summer courses. Once you have been deregistered for nonpayment, your spot in your classes will be open to students on the waitlist. There is no guarantee you will be able to register for that class again.

  • Go to https://insidetrack.yu.edu
  • Log in with your YUAD username and password (look up your YUAD credentials at www.yu.edu/findid if you do not know them)
  • Hover over/click on “Students”
  • Select “Undergraduate”
  • In the "Student Accounts" box, click on “Account Summary by Term”
  • Note your balance
Pay For Summer Courses:
  • Pay online with web check or credit card:
    • Follow instructions above to find your account balance
    • Click the “MAKE A PAYMENT” button
    • In the new browser screen click the “Make Payment” button
    • Click on the $ box and enter your balance
      • Note: The “Current account balance” on this page may be $0 but you will pay the balance that you noted earlier
    • Click “Continue” and follow the instructions onscreen to complete your payment 
  • Pay by paper check: Visit www.yu.edu/osf for instructions on mailing a check.
