The value of your undergraduate experience at Yeshiva University is enhanced through an array of opportunities for dual degrees and undergraduate partnerships, listed below. Dual degrees enable students to begin the graduate training while completing their undergraduate studies. Undergraduate partnerships serve to enhance the variety of your course of study. 

These exciting options, which will be updated as further opportunities are created, have been crafted to both further your education in the field of your choice, as well as to enhance your positioning for professional success. To discuss any of these options further, you are encouraged to make an appointment with an Academic Advisor.

Additional Graduate School Programs and Articulation Agreements

Yeshiva University and State University of New York State College of Optometry offer an affiliation program to qualified students through which they can receive an undergraduate degree and a Doctor of Optometry degree in seven years. Students accepted into this program attend Yeshiva University for three years while they complete college requirements and prerequisites for the College of Optometry. After the first year at SUNY College of Optometry, students receive the BA degree. The OD degree is awarded after completing the four years at SUNY College of Optometry.

The Early Acceptance Program with New York Medical College Graduate School of Health Sciences allows qualified students to receive provisional acceptance to the 3-year D.P.T. Program after their Junior year. Final acceptance is granted upon satisfactory completion of their senior year at SCW.

Yeshiva University offers a combined program in Physical Therapy with the State University of New Jersey (Rutgers). During the first three years at Yeshiva University, students complete college requirements and prerequisites for the Doctorate of Physical Therapy Program.  Students are awarded the B.A. after completing the first year at the professional school, and the D.P.T. at the completion of the 3-year program.

Yeshiva University offers a combined program in physician assistant studies with Mercy College. During the first three years, students complete college requirements and prerequisites for Mercy Colleges MPS program. After completing 111 credits with a minimum GPA of 3.0, and with at least a B in prerequisite courses, qualified students continue at Mercy College. After the first year at Mercy College, students receive the BA degree from Yeshiva University. The MPS degree is awarded after completing two years and three months at Mercy.

Yeshiva University and New York College of Podiatric Medicine (NYCPM) offer a combined program in podiatry. During the first three years, students recommended to the program complete college requirements and prerequisites for the NY College of Podiatric Medicine. After the first year at NYCPM, Yeshiva University awards the BA. NYCPM awards the DPM upon completion of the program.

Yeshiva University and NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education and Human Development offer an accelerated option for a master’s degree in mathematics and science education. During the junior and/or senior year students may take up to 14 credits at NYU Steinhardt, which will count toward both the undergraduate and graduate degrees. Students pay NYU directly for these credits. Yeshiva University awards students the BA degree after completion of all BA requirements, and NYU awards an MA degree upon completion of the graduate program.

New York University Rory Meyers College of Nursing  (NYU Meyers) offers a combined program in nursing with Yeshiva University Stern College for Women.  In this program students complete a Shaped Major as well as General and adjusted Jewish Studies requirements at Stern College. Students complete this work during 7 semesters and must earn a minimum of 119 credits. Credits remaining to complete the BA degree are counted back from the nursing school. Eligible students may then be admitted to a 15 month Accelerated Program at NYU Meyers which begins in January. Students receive the BA degree after successfully completing one semester at NYU Meyers. They are awarded the BS degree with a major of nursing at the successful completion of the nursing school and have the option of continuing on for a master’s degree in nursing.

Stern College offers a combined program in Occupational Therapy with Columbia University.  During the first three years at SCW, students complete college requirements and prerequisites for Columbia’s OT program.  They apply to the 2-year Columbia program during the fall semester of their junior year.  Students are awarded the B.A. from Stern College after the first year at Columbia, and the M.S. upon completion of the program.

Continue Your Education in Israel

Yeshiva College and Stern College Students interested in pursuing graduate study in Computer Science (CS), Chemistry, Biology, or Life Sciences in Israel are eligible to apply during their senior year to pathway programs for masters' degrees in Computer Science at The Hebrew University of Jerusalem and Bar Ilan University (BIU), a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (with specialization in Data Science and Information Technology) at BIU, a master’s degree in Chemistry at the Technion, BIU, or Hebrew U; a master’s degree in Biology at The Technion; or a master’s degree in Life Sciences at Hebrew U.

Computer Science and Electrical Engineering

Interested in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering? Discover our partnerships with Hebrew University and Bar Ilan University.

YU’s partnership with Hebrew University

YU students who graduate with an undergraduate degree in CS with a GPA of 3.8 or higher in CS will be admitted to Hebrew University’s competitive Masters in Computer Science without need for an interview. Students with lower CS GPA’s may be considered for the program, subject to further review, interviews, and recommendations from YU faculty. The CS master’s degree program at Hebrew University is designed to accommodate English speaking students, and classes will be taught in English. Applicants to the Hebrew University program should complete the online application of the Overseas Applicants Unit available at  http://info.huji.ac.il/en-overseas/Online_Application. Along with the application please include a letter from the Office of the Provost that states your candidacy to this specific program. To obtain the letter, email Dr. Stu Halpern shalpern@yu.edu.

YU’s partnership with Bar Ilan University

YU students who graduate with an undergraduate degree in Computer Science at YU with at least a 3.5 GPA in the major can direct enroll in the Bar Ilan Masters in Computer Science program. Classes will be taught in English. YU students who complete an undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics with a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their major are able to direct enroll in the Master of Science (M. Sc.) in Electrical Engineering (with specialization in Data Science and Information Technology) at BIU. YU students who complete an undergraduate degree in the above-mentioned majors with a GPA of 3.4 or below may apply and be considered for an interview and acceptance. YU students participating in this program will be required to complete 10 core courses, decided upon by BIU, with an average of 3.3 or higher before commencing the M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering. Such courses will either be offered at YU or via an online platform.

Chemistry

Our Chemistry partnerships extend to The Technion, Bar Ilan University, and Hebrew University. Discover the path that fits you best.

YU’s partnership with the Technion

YU students who graduate with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry at YU with at least a 3.6 GPA in the major will be considered as having met the academic background required for admission into the Masters in Science Program in Chemistry at the Technion (acceptance is subject to the approval of the Technion academic committee). Students found to be acceptable will required to study two courses from the Technion’s Chemistry program: Quantum Chemistry (124408) and the Laboratory in Physical Chemistry (124610), a total of 6.5 credits. These credits will be subtracted from the 30 credits needed to complete the requirements for a M.Sc. degree.

Classes in the Masters in Science Program will be taught in English. Students with a GPA of 3.4 but not lower than 3.2 will be considered for admission subject to further review. Students who meet the academic requirements of the Masters in Science Program will be eligible to be transferred directly to the PhD Track.

YU’s partnership with Bar Ilan University 

YU students who complete a baccalaureate degree in Chemistry with a GPA of 3.6 or higher in their major, will be permitted by BIU to directly enroll in the M.Sc. in Chemistry program at BIU. YU students who complete baccalaureate degree in Chemistry with a GPA of less than 3.6 in their major may apply and be considered for an interview and acceptance in the M.Sc. in Chemistry program at BIU.

YU’s partnership with Hebrew University

YU students who complete a baccalaureate degree in Chemistry with a GPA of 3.5 or higher in their major, and have taken Inorganic Chemistry and Lab and Biochemistry of the Cell, will be permitted by Hebrew U to directly enroll in the M.Sc. in Chemistry program at Hebrew U. Students must also select a faculty mentor in the Institute of Chemistry at HUJI who is willing to accept them into his/her own research group, and take Physical Chemistry Laboratory at Hebrew U as well as 4 additional credits depending upon the elective students have taken. Students with a 3.3 GPA and exemplary letters of recommendation will also be considered for admission.

Biology

Looking to pursue your Master's in Biology? Our partnership with The Technion could be the program for you.

Life Sciences

Discover our Life Sciences pathway with Hebrew University.

Through YU’s partnership with Hebrew University, students have completed a baccalaureate degree with a major in Biology with a GPA of 3.4 or higher in their major and have contacted a mentor at the Institute of Life Sciences at HUJI who is willing to accept them into his/her own research group, will be admitted into Hebrew U’s Masters (M.Sc.) in Institute of Life Sciences  (Biology) program without an interview.

Additional Opportunities

The Innovation Nation STEM Scholarship is available to top students admitted into these graduate programs. Awardees will receive $10,000 (US) each year for two years to cover tuition and some living expenses, and will be invited to industry meetups and possible internship opportunities in Israel during their graduate studies. To apply to the Innovation Nation STEM scholarship, click here.

Ben Gurion University of the Negev Medical School for International Health and Medicine 

YU students planning on graduating from YU with a BA or BS degree who have completed the following prerequisite courses and have a minimum Science GPA of 3.2 are guaranteed to receive an interview at Ben Gurion University of the Negev Medical School for International Health and Medicine prior to having their MCAT scores:

  • One year each of biology and one year of physics (or one year of biology, one semester of physics and one semester of math, preferably calculus or statistics);
  • Two years of chemistry (with labs), including one year of organic chemistry or biochemistry.

YU students who wish to apply to MSIH with a GPA below 3.2 in the sciences may do so, but will have to wait until MCAT scores are received before being reviewed for potential interview;

Final acceptance is subject to the approval of the MSIH admissions committee.

YU students who maintain at least a B average and who have scored a minimum of 1200 on the SAT are guaranteed admission to the Bar Ilan International MBA Program. Students who don't meet the aforementioned qualifications but maintain a B-plus average at Yeshiva will also be accepted. The 13-month M.B.A. program will be taught in English at Bar Ilan in Israel.  Once admitted to the program, students will have to maintain at least a B average. Undergraduate Partnerships

In agreement between Yeshiva University (YU) and Fashion Institute of Technology (F.I.T.), YU will pay F.I.T., within limits, for coursework taken by Beren Campus students that have been approved as part of a required course of study.

YU students may enroll at NYU as non-degree undergraduate students in courses in nutrition and dietetics in their junior or senior year. Students pay NYU directly for these credits. These courses satisfy some of the prerequisite courses required for many clinical nutrition programs throughout the country including the NYU Master of Science degree program in Nutrition and Dietetics.

Graduate Opportunities

The GEP seeks high school students with excellent academic records who are accepted to, and agree to attend, Yeshiva University. Applicants must have an excellent high school GPA (minimum 90% average), extra-curricular activities that clearly document experience in a healthcare setting and a commitment to community service or volunteer work, SAT test scores of 1360 or better (combined Critical Reading & Math) or ACT test score of 29 Composite or better.  Applicants who meet the above requirements for consideration must interview with the Admissions Committee at Upstate in Syracuse, NY in January, March or June medical mini-interview sessions-this is largely based on Yeshiva's discretion.  The MCAT is waived for students admitted to the program.

Students in their 4th on-campus semester at YU who have a cumulative science GPA of 3.50 or higher, and who have completed first-year English and at least 8 of the following courses are eligible to apply for provisional early acceptance into the Doctor of Dental Medicine program: Calc. I and Stats or Calc. I and II; Bio. I and II with lab; Physics I and II with lab; General Chem. I and II with lab or Organic Chem. I and II with lab.
