Office of the Registrar │ Fall 2020 FAQS

 (as of August 10, 2020)

General Information

Our offices remain operational. We encourage students and alumni contact us via phone or email and to use online services to request transcripts, enrollment verifications and to access and submit forms via email. Visit our website for operational hours and contact information.

Information about the delivery method of each of your classes will be found on the Class Schedule in Self Service and will be shared with you by your faculty person.  For YU’s definition of our course delivery methods, please click here.

For the Fall 2020 semester, Pass/No Credit or Pass/Fail policies can be found in your School or Program Catalog or Handbook.

Students are responsible for fulfilling course requirements and for following deadlines on Academic Calendars for their School or Program. If you feel that you cannot complete your course requirements, you should consult with your faculty person or your advisor. Using Canvas, instructors will provide guidance on how to stay current with content, course assignments and exams.

Attendance:

Students should work with their faculty to determine the best method to make up for missed work. If it is determined that a student cannot make up lost instruction, students should consult their advisors, the academic catalog and the deadlines on Academic Calendars for their School or Program.

Withdrawal from individual classes: Please visit your School or Program’s academic calendar for deadlines. Reminder: Withdrawal from classes may impact your progress toward graduation and your financial aid.

Graduation Candidates:

Students who meet their requirements for graduation will have their degrees conferred in the term for which they applied for graduation.

Examination dates:

Midterm exam dates can be found on the Undergraduate academic calendar. Information about your classes will be found inside of Canvas.

Final exam dates can be found on the Undergraduate academic calendar. Information about your classes will be found inside of Canvas.

Yeshiva University Offices of the Registrar offer PDF transcript service through the National Student Clearinghouse for all transcript requests. Paper transcript service is expected to return when YU returns to full, in-person operations. We ask both requestors and recipients of our PDF transcripts to accept PDF official transcripts in lieu of paper transcripts at this time.

If a paper copy becomes necessary in the future, we will resend a complimentary, paper copy to all PDF recipients when our in-person operations resume. Please email your Registrar’s office to obtain a copy.

At this time, we are unable to offer Rush or Paper transcript processing. If you have any questions about Transcript processing or processing times, please consult our website.

Yeshiva University’s goal is to make sure that your academic work is completed and that any disruption will not disadvantage your future academic or professional progress.
