Join us in celebrating our collegue

This coming Fall, on Sunday, September 7 we will celebrate, at Yeshiva University’s campus in midtown Manhattan, a one-day conference to honor the many accomplishments and career of our dear colleague Sergey V. Buldyrev.

This conference celebrates the distinguished career of Dr. Sergey Buldyrev, Professor Emeritus of Yeshiva University, whose impactful work spans statistical physics and complexity in both physical and biological systems. His contributions include the theory of phase transitions, network theory, the resilience and stability of infrastructure networks, Econophysics, DNA sequence analysis, models of water, and more. The conference will showcase recent advances in these areas and foster interaction among researchers working in statistical physics, complex systems, and related disciplines. To honor Professor Buldyrev, join him and many of his colleagues and collaborators from around the world as they share their research, reflect on their collaborations with him over the years, and discuss the lasting influence he has had on their work and careers.
