Dr. Rosenberg graduated from New York University, School of Education with a Bachelors and Masters Degree and from Columbia University Teachers College with a Doctorate of Education.  She became a teacher, guidance counselor, administrator, for the New York City Department of Education for more than twenty-five years and then became a Professor of Education at New York University, teaching both graduate and undergraduate students studying Special Education. Dr. Rosenberg is currently a Professor at Yeshiva University designing and implementing graduate programs in Special Education.  She also collaborates with parent groups, childcare facilities, education attorneys, and advisory groups to evaluate Special Education programs.  In addition, she serves as a member of the Board of Trustees at Manhattan Star Academy, Young Adults Institute. Dr. Rosenberg’s vision includes effective problem solving techniques, preparing teachers as reflective practitioners, with a deep commitment for mutual respect, collaboration and an acute awareness that all children can learn.   Her recent research focus includes students with emotional disabilities and methods of teaching critical thinking skills.
