How long is the Commencement program?
Doors will open at 12PM, the program will go from 1:00PM to about 3:30PM
How do I get tickets?
Tickets will be distributed to the graduates when they pick up their cap and gown. Each graduate will be allotted 6 tickets. You may also request additional tickets by emailing commencement@yu.edu .
Do children need tickets?
Yes, everyone who requires a seat will need a ticket.
Will I receive my diploma at the ceremony?
No, you will not receive your actual diploma at the Ceremony. Your diploma will arrive in the mail when your graduation has been confirmed.
When do you recommend I make reservations after Commencement?
We recommend making reservations at 4:00PM or later. Below are restaurant suggestions from the area:

- Abigael’s (212.575.1407) In honor of the Yeshiva University commencement Abigael’s on Broadway will be opening at 4:00 PM! There is a 10% dine in only discount. Student/Faculty ID must be presented to the server.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Will graduation be live streamed?
No, however it will be recorded and posted shortly after. Visit www.yu.edu after Commencement for a link to the entire ceremony.
How will I get my photos?
After the ceremony, Island Photography will email each graduate a PIN to view their photos online. For more information visit: http://www.islandphoto.com
What if it rains?
The Madison Square Garden is indoors. If it rains, graduation will still proceed as scheduled.
Where will my graduate be sitting?
The graduates will sit in the very front section of the theater. When you arrive, there will be maps of the sections available for guests to sit.
Will there be sign language interpreters?
Yes. The University has arranged sign language interpreters. We will make every effort to accommodate each request with appropriate advance notice. Please email commencement@yu.edu if you require this service so we can ensure you are seated close to the interpreters.
