Yeshiva University ─ Reichman University Medical Early Assurance Program
Overview: The Yeshiva University ─ Reichman University Medical Early Assurance program is designed to cultivate the next generation of physicians who are compassionate and dedicated to the improvement of health. The program provides a pathway for undergraduates of Yeshiva University who wish to practice medicine in Israel to receive conditional early assurance admission to the Reichman University Recanati School of Medicine in Herzliya, Israel.

- YU students studying in Israel who have a high school GPA of 88 or above
- YU students in their first year studying on campus in NY with a college GPA of 3.5 or above and no lower than a B in college science courses if taken
Students admitted to the Early Assurance Program are guaranteed admission to Reichman University's Recanati School of Medicine after completion of the YU program requirements and Reichman University's Preparatory Year Program.
The Preparatory Year consists of:
- An intensive Ulpan to prepare students to take the YAEL Hebrew exam.
- Preparation to take the MCAT
- Any missing required science courses
- Begin the process of Aliyah
Students who successfully complete the Preparatory Year subject to the relevant bylaws and regulations of Reichman University (including the general admission requirements at the Dina Recanati Medical School - see here: https://www.runi.ac.il/media/1s0gfler/ru_md-regulations-2025_8.pdf), the Council of Higher Education and/or the Forum of Medical School Deans in Israel, matriculate directly to the Reichman University Recanati School of Medicine.
- Earn the YU bachelor’s degree with a total GPA of at least 3.2 This includes a major, general education and core requirements as well as Jewish Studies. All degree requirements and obligations to YU need to be met.
- Complete at least 3 of the 7 courses, including their pre-requisites, required by Reichman for admission to the MD program (see below) with no less than a B in each course. Transfer credit taken for courses at other universities will not be accepted without prior approval. Any of the seven required science courses not taken at YU, or approved by YU, will be taken during the Preparatory Year at Reichman.

- BIO/BIOL 3521 - Molecular Biology (4 credits)
- BIO/BIOL 3513 - Genetics (4 credits)
- BIO/BIOL 4023 - Microbiology (4 credits)
- BIO/BIOL/CHE/CHEM 1376 Biochemistry (3 credits) with Lab BIO/BIOL/CHE/CHEM 1377 (2 credits)
- STA/STAT/ PSY 1021 –Statistics (3 credits)
- Receive the final recommendation of the YU pre-health advisor.
Students admitted to the Early Assurance program who are native Hebrew speakers, have an acceptable MCAT score, are ready to make Aliyah, and have met all other requirements above, including recommendation of the YU pre-health advisor, will not need to enroll in the Preparatory Year. Such students may matriculate to Reichman University Recanati School of Medicine directly after graduation from Yeshiva University.
