DeJonge
Dr. Bernadet (Bernie) DeJonge is the Director of Online Programs and a Clinical Assistant Professor at Yeshiva University. She earned her undergraduate degree in psychology and her master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Western Washington University, as well as a doctorate in Counseling Supervision and Education from Oregon State University.
Dr. DeJonge’s clinical expertise includes integrating counseling into medicine and working with Medicaid populations, particularly individuals with disabilities. Her research and teaching interests include the ethics of AI in higher education, online pedagogy, access to higher education for non-traditional students, and multicultural counseling.
In her free time, Dr. DeJonge enjoys running, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her rescue cattle dog mix, Roxy.
