Dr. Assan Jallow earned his Ph.D. in Economics and Finance from the Rome School of Economics, Tor Vergata, in Italy. He also holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the University of Verona and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Mathematics from UTG. Prior to completing his Ph.D., Dr. Jallow served as a Visiting Ph.D. Fellow at Harvard University’s Department of Economics. Dr. Jallow is currently a faculty member at Yeshiva University in the Department of Economics and also serves as a faculty member Ad Professor(Instructor) of Economics at Manhattan University in the Department of Economics and Finance. He brings extensive international teaching experience, having taught advanced undergraduate and master’s level courses across Africa, Europe, and the United States. His teaching areas include Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Game Theory, Mathematical Economics, and Finance. Dr. Jallow’s teaching philosophy emphasizes clarity, rigor, and engagement. He is committed to developing students’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills while making complex economic concepts accessible and intellectually stimulating. His experience teaching diverse student populations has strengthened his ability to adapt to different learning styles and foster inclusive academic environments. His research background in economics and finance strongly informs his teaching. By integrating theoretical and empirical insights into real-world applications such as market design, financial instability, global   economic crises, and computational macroeconomics and myopia estimation he equips students with both strong technical foundations and practical perspectives essential for academic and professional success.
