Who the Online Master's in Management Program is Ideal For

This program is for you if you have a non-business background—such as the humanities, social sciences, STEM, education, the arts, or consulting-focused fields—and you want to transition into management or consulting roles.

Unlike an MBA, which typically serves experienced professionals seeking advancement or acceleration, this program focuses on helping you build core managerial, consulting, and leadership skills whether you are at the start of your career or preparing to pivot into business and management roles.

Learning Experience and Program Objectives

The curriculum is developed by research-driven faculty along with industry experts bringing you real-world tools and knowledge to help you amplify your career. Through case analyses, applied projects, simulations, leadership development activities, and data-driven problem-solving, you gain hands-on experience that mirrors real professional environments. This experiential approach ensures you are prepared to apply your skills immediately in the workplace.

Program Objectives

As a graduate of the program, you will:

  • Develop foundational management, leadership, and consulting skills needed to transition into early-career business and consulting roles
  • Build professional readiness through practical exposure to organizational dynamics, teamwork, and client-facing environments
  • Prepare for career entry-level positions in the field of management

Career and Learning Outcomes

  • Apply management and organizational behavior theories to real-world business challenges
  • Develop cultural competence for diverse workplace environments
  • Demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and communication skills in cross-functional and multicultural settings
  • Translate academic knowledge into practical managerial competence, bridging theory and practice

You are prepared for early to mid-level management roles across sectors including business, nonprofit management, healthcare, education, technology, and government. Our graduates typically pursue positions such as:

  • Management Analyst / Consultant
  • Project or Program Manager
  • Business Development Manager
  • Human Resource or Talent Development Specialist
  • Nonprofit or Program Manager
  • Independent Business Owner

Christopher

“There is a sense of community. You need a diversity of ideas. You need a diversity of people working on your team to be able to really get to the root of what's going on. The values-driven program has been very meaningful. Having that context makes me a better decision-maker. There is a wealth of opportunity to gain wisdom from people who have done what you're planning on doing.”
