Sharon Verity, MPAS, PA-C

Sharon Verity

Expertise: PA Education, Emergency Medicine, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine

Sharon Verity, PA-C, brings decades of experience as a clinician and PA educator. She has been a successful PA program director and is proud of her students’ consistent 100%, first-time pass rates on the Physician Assistant National Certification Exam (PANCE). The recipient of many professional accolades for her teaching and clinical work, Professor Verity focuses on a patient-centered approach to education. She is currently a lecturer in emergency medicine at the Yale School of Medicine and practices emergency medicine at Yale New Haven Hospital.
 

Joseph Weber-Lopez, M.D.

Joseph W. Weber-Lopez

Expertise: Family Medicine, Sports Medicine

Joseph Weber-Lopez, MD, is board-certified in family medicine and sports medicine, and has years of experience as a physician and educator. Prior to joining Yeshiva University as the PA program's medical director, he was the Hoboken University Medical Center Sports Medicine Fellowship program director, as well as the sports medicine physician for the N.Y. Jets football team. Currently he is working in primary care/urgent care at CityMD and in regenerative medicine at his practice ProPeak Sports Medicine in Long Island, N.Y.

 

Dwayne Williams, PA-C

Dwayne Williams, PA-C, is a veteran clinician, PA educator and author of the best-selling textbook PANCE Prep Pearls. He has traveled to numerous universities nationwide to offer PANCE preparation seminars, has been a recipient of multiple teaching awards and has over 36,000 followers on his PANCE Prep Pearls Instagram account. Recognized as an outstanding clinician and PA educator by his colleagues, Professor Williams was voted PA of the Year by the New York State Society of Physician Assistants (NYSSPA).


 
Fayrose Abodeshisha, M.S., MBA, PA-C

Fayrose Abodeshisha, PA-C, is a PA leader in the surgical and educational arenas. As lead senior PA in trauma and acute care surgery at New York University School of Medicine/Bellevue Hospital’s Surgery Department, she was the lead PA on surgical service, PA education director and a clinical preceptor for PA students on their surgical rotations. Professor Abodeshisha has been recognized for her outstanding dedication to PA education by her students and faculty colleagues.
 

Robin Brizzi, M.S.

Robin Brizzi

Robin Brizzi is a PA program administrator who has overseen the successful matriculation of hundreds of PA students. At YU, she oversees the development of PA clinical affiliations and the admission of PA students. She is a certified teacher in New York and Connecticut with experience teaching communications in a university setting and employment experience in the healthcare insurance industry. She will help PA students develop their written and oral communication skills and prepare them for the business of medicine.

Nebahat Bayrakcioglu, M.A.

Nebahat Bayrakcioglu

Expertise: Hospital and University Administration, Data & Outcomes Analysis

Nebahat Bayrakcioglu has years of experience as a PA program coordinator and a background in university and hospital administration. As program coordinator, she managed clinical clerkship placements for physician assistant and medical students, collaborated in the collection and analysis of data used in outcomes assessment and in quality assurance reports, created master academic schedules and recruited and managed program office staff. Nebahat has M.A. degrees in political science and sociology, and can speak Turkish, German and Arabic.
