We can help with interpreting assignments, generating ideas, incorporating research, planning and outlining, composing paragraphs, and polishing sentences. Session Types The WSSW Writing Consultants offer two session types: Online Chat and Email Exchange. Online Chat Online Chat sessions take place in real time on Zoom. Sessions extend for 45 minutes. Students come to us with materials to consider—whether drafts, outlines, assignment instructions, or research inquiries—and we assist them in developing their skill-sets, refining both their writing processes and their end-products. Students report that Online Chat sessions are an easy, conversational method for getting an outside expert’s eye on their works-in-progress. Email Exchange Email Exchange sessions are an opportunity to receive written feedback on drafts of up to 2,500 words. Students email their drafts to us, sharing their specific questions (e.g., about whether the paper addressed the prompt or used APA format correctly) so that we can supply tailored feedback. We supply this feedback asynchronously, within 48 hours of the appointment time. Students can then review our comments and suggestions independently at their own pace.
