Graduates from our programs gain the job training to create inclusive classrooms for children with autism, deaf-blindness, deafness, developmental delays, emotional challenges, hearing impairment, multiple disabilities, orthopedic impairment, traumatic brain injury, intellectual disabilities, speech or language impairment, visual impairment, and other circumstances. Our online courses provide you with a thorough mastery of pedagogical practice and evidence-based teaching skills. You may add a specialty in technology in special education as well as literacy. Through our live online classroom program, students participate in classes synchronously on zoom in real time from the comfort of their homes. Students can ask questions and contribute to lectures as if they are present in the classroom. Class times are in the evenings, so students can either student-teach or work during the day.Live online students have access to many of the same resources as on-campus students, including the writing center (available via phone or video appointments). Your in-person one-on-one supervised student teaching experiences provide deep understanding of inclusive classroom practices and working collaboratively with families and agencies.
