The Senator Joseph Lieberman-Mitzner Scholars Program offers a transformative experience that prepares scholarship students to become visionary leaders, effective advocates, and catalysts for positive change in the public sector. The main requirements of the program are the following:

1) Completion of at least one summer internship in the public service or advocacy spaces

2) One honors course in political science or a related area (e.g. economics, policy) per year

3) Attendance of co-curricular workshops (approximately once per month) 

4) Completion of a thesis on a topic related to political science, political leadership, advocacy, and related fields, or related to the student’s summer internship program

5) The maintenance of a 3.5 cumulative GPA each semester.
