The admission process is streamlined so that YU students need only complete the Katz School online application, including resume/CV. Personal statement, recommendation letters, and GREs are waived for applicants. The Katz School will request your transcripts from the Registrar’s Office.

Qualifying Undergraduate Majors/Minors

  • Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Pre-engineering, Statistics are eligible for guaranteed admission.
  • Economics, Finance, and Biology will require an interview.

Admission Requirements
Minimum GPA of 3.3 with a B+ or better in prerequisite courses 
Prerequisites: Two courses in a high-level programming language such as Java, C++ or Python, Multivariate Calculus, Linear Algebra, and Probability/Statistics

Biology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Physics, Pre-Health, Public Health; for non-science majors, including Accounting, Finance, Information and Decision Sciences, BIMA, Marketing, Psychology, Sociology, Strategy & Entrepreneurship, your first semester will include a graduate life science course

Admission Requirements
Minimum GPA of 3.0. Non-science majors must have completed one science course with a B+ or better

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • At least one undergraduate course in Networking with B+ or better; or relevant work experience. If no networking course then conditional acceptance based on the above with requirement to complete CompTIA Networking+ course and certification exam which must be submitted to admissions for verification.
