Our Mission

Yeshiva University’s undergraduate education is built upon a foundation of academic rigor and the Torah’s timeless wisdom. We foster curiosity and critical thinking for a life of professional achievement, personal religious growth and the contribution to the Jewish people, Israel and the world. Our students strengthen their moral compass, discover their interests, broaden their minds, deepen their friendships and cultivate their uniqueness in a spirit of care and compassion. In our values-based community, we nurture and empower our students to lead with integrity and responsibility in answering the call to service.

About Project Yamim A Vision Rooted in Torah and Driven by Academic Excellence

Project Yamim is an undergraduate -wide strategic planning initiative designed to shape the future of Yeshiva University’s undergraduate experience. The gematria (numeric value) of “Yamim” — 100 — reflects YU’s upcoming centennial in 2028, celebrating one hundred years since the founding of its first undergraduate program in 1928.

Rooted in our commitment to Torah learning, academic excellence and service to the Jewish community, the land and people of Israel, and humanity at large, Project Yamim offers an opportunity to look ahead; to imagine, to innovate, and to grow together.

Project Yamim brings together voices from across the University to strengthen our shared educational vision.

Our Guiding Questions

We begin with open inquiry and shared curiosity. Together, we will explore questions that reach to the heart of the YU experience:

  • How can we better integrate Torah values throughout the undergraduate journey, from the classroom to student life and beyond?
  • What new collaborations can help us foster a culture of curiosity, exploration and service?
  • How can we create a more seamless and cohesive student experience that supports independence and success?
  • How can we build campus programs that encourage deeper student involvement and community engagement?
  • What new pathways of study and professional development should we build to prepare our students for their careers and for lives of meaning and purpose?

Your Voice Matters

Help Shape the Future of YU

Project Yamim begins with listening. We invite every member of our community; students, faculty and staff to share your ideas, dreams and perspectives. Your insights will help guide Yeshiva University’s next century of growth.

Submissions will be reviewed by the Project Yamim team and will help inform focus groups and planning sessions.
