International Students Learn How to Start Careers in the United States

On Thursday, Sept. 9, 2019, author and guest speaker Dan Beaudry visited Yeshiva University to present “Finding a Job in the U.S. as an International Student.” Co-sponsored by the YU Career Center, Office of Student Life, the Office of International Student Scholars and the Katz School of Science and Health, the event was designed to empower international students with the tools, strategies and knowledge to bolster their efforts to start careers in the US.

Close to 30 international students from across YU’s undergraduate and graduate schools attended Beaudry’s engaging and valuable session on the Beren campus. Three lucky students received a complimentary copy of Beaudry’s book Power Ties: The International Student’s Guide to Finding a Job in the United States. This collaborative program represented an institution-wide effort to support our undergraduate and graduate international student populations as they prepare themselves to be the leaders of tomorrow.
