TABC Storm 50 - Ramaz Rams 49 (2 OT)

New York, NY, Mar 19, 2004 -- TABC will make an unlikely appearance at the Tier-I semifinal on Sunday vs. Hyman Brand, after they knocked off second-seeded Ramaz, 50-49, in double-overtime. TABC was seeded 10th entering the tournament. They now can boast of the biggest upset in both the first and second day of play. It is unclear if a 10th seeded team has ever made it to the semifinal round before. Ezriel Stern scored 17 points and Ben Parker added 14 more for Ramaz, who scored just eight, one, and eight points in the first three quarters, respectively. Ramaz came back from a 14-point deficit behind a 20-point 4th quarter to send it to overtime. TABC was seeded 10th entering the tournament. TABC owes their semifinal appearance to the play of shooting guard Noam Block, whose clutch three-pointer for the Storm sent the game into the first overtime. Then, in double-overtime, Block hit a 3-pointer to give the Storm the lead, and then hit another after Ramaz tied the game. The final 3-pointer was the game winner. Block finished with 22 points.
