Aug 19, 2004 -- Yeshiva University President Richard M. Joel announced the appointment of Rick Annis as the school’s vice president for finance. President Joel characterized the appointment as an important development in the advancement of the university. Mr. Annis, who has some 25 years experience directing fiscal operations at major health-care institutions, will assume his new position on August 30. Mr. Annis comes to Yeshiva University most recently from St. Joseph’s Healthcare System, in Paterson, NJ, where he served as senior vice president and CFO. He held similar senior positions at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System, in Great Neck, and Long Island Jewish Medical Center, in New Hyde Park. President Joel said Mr. Annis will supervise all financial policies and procedures and all general accounting functions and services, including the development and implementation of the annual budget, while also directing an array of fiscal-related areas. Mr. Annis will work closely with the university’s board of trustees’ financial, investment, audit, and other major committees. He will report to the president and serve in his operations cabinet.
