MTA Community Joins Together for Family Melava Malka with Eitan Katz

by Elishama Marmon ('20) 3735ce22-fa0e-4551-8dc1-cc558da874d7 This past Motzaei Shabbos, MTA Rebbeim, talmidim, faculty, and parents gathered together for a spectacular Melava Malka at MTA. Delicious dairy food, including baked ziti, garlic bread, and macaroni and cheese, was served to start off the evening and everyone talked and enjoyed themselves in a relaxed setting. Dessert featured donuts in novelty MTA branded containers. After the food, the large crowd went to the Lions' Den to participate in a spirited kumsitz with the renowned musician and singer, Eitan Katz. He sang several of his popular classics including "L'maancha," "Boruch Hu", "Geshmak to be a Yid" and many other nigunim. The audience often stood up and sang along, swaying to the tunes, and danced exuberantly in a circle, keeping many of the songs going long after they otherwise would have ended. The singing and dancing reflected ruach and achdus, and everyone had a great time throughout the program. The Melava Malka was definitely a big success and our thanks go out to all who made it happen. A special thank you must be extended to the Parent Council, Rabbi Green, Elie Hirt, Elissa Schertz, and Meira Nagel for all they did to make to make this amazing event possible. Thank you also to all the students, parents, and Rebbeim who came out and made thist pre-Chanukah program a success.
