MTA officially opened its debate season with an in-house novice debate. Abolishment of the death penalty was the topic which had been introduced to the novices by Mr. Pinsker, a much admired history teacher. He set the background with the history and constitutional issues that are involved. Top debaters were first place debater, Elan Wolfset ('19), and second place debater, Moshe Inger ('20). The first place team was Elan and Mordechai Schwartz ('19) and second place was Moshe and Shlomo Ash ('18).
