The Office of Student Life is dedicated to making each Yeshiva University student's undergraduate experience as positive as possible.

We strive to meet your needs from before your arrival on campus until graduation day and beyond. Whether it is helping you manage your educational, social or general welfare, or planning fun-filled and exciting events, we offer many different services to help you meet your needs.

Beren Campus

Minyanim take place at Congregation Aderet-El, 135 East 29th Street. Visit www.aderethel.org for exact times. On occasion, there will be special minyanim in the beit midrash on the 7th floor of Stanton Hall. Check your email for dates and times.

The Beren Campus has three batei midrash at the following locations: 7th floor of Stanton Hall, room 2C of Brookdale Residence Hall, and the 2nd floor of Schottenstein Residence Hall.

Wilf Campus

The Wilf Campus has seven batei midrash at the following locations: 1st floor of Muss Hall, 1st floor of Zysman Hall, 1st and 2nd floors of the Glueck Center, 3rd floor of Furst Hall, and the basement and 1st floor of Morgenstern Residence Hall.

For Shabbat minyan times and locations, refer to the Shabbat schedules for each campus.

Local Subways

The closest subway station, located on 33rd Street and Park Avenue, serves the 6 line. Nearby subways include the 4, 5, 7, S, N, Q, R, 1, 2 and 3.

Shuttles

All intercampus shuttles depart and return to Brookdale Residence Hall. Some local campus shuttle service is available from each building. A valid YU ID is required to board all shuttles.

Local Shuttles

Sunday–Thursday, 5 p.m.–1 a.m.

Shuttles transport passengers every half hour on a scheduled basis between Beren Campus buildings and to/from local authorized train destinations. Saturday service starts 15 minutes after Shabbat until 1 a.m. and is on an on-call basis.

Pick-Up/Drop-Off Locations for Subways and Trains

  • Penn Station and all 34th Street subway pickups will be at Seventh Avenue and 35th Street
  • FIT shuttle departs at 5:55 p.m. from 245 Lexington Avenue
Friday schedule (10 a.m. to Shabbat)

From 245 Lexington Avenue to Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Avenue subway stations, Penn Station, Grand Central Station and the Port Authority

Sunday schedule (Noon to 3 p.m.)
  • On-call pickups from Port Authority and Grand Central Station
  • Penn Station and subway pickups are at Seventh Avenue and 35th Street

Inter-Campus Shuttle

From Beren Campus to Wilf Campus

5, 6, 6:45, 7:15, 7:30, 8:15, 8:45, 9, 9:45, 10:15, 10:30, 11:15 and 11:45 p.m., midnight, 1 and 1:30 a.m.

5, 6 and 6:45 p.m. departures are from Park Avenue and 34th Street. Departures after 7 p.m. are from Brookdale Hall. There is an additional inter-campus shuttle Monday to Thursday, at 4:30 p.m., from 245 Lexington Avenue. Also, at 5:45 p.m. from 245 Lexington Avenue, if space is available after Talmud Program passengers board.

On Fridays, shuttle will depart 245 Lexington Avenue at 11:30 a.m., 12:30, 1:30 and 2:30 p.m.

On Saturdays, shuttle begins with the scheduled run that starts at least 45 minutes after Shabbat ends. (Example: If Shabbat ends at 8:35 p.m., runs will start with the 9:30 p.m. scheduled run.) Service will never start before 6 p.m.

The inter-campus shuttle requires an advanced registration. To sign up for the shuttle from Beren to Wilf, call YU Security at 212.960.5200.

Local Subways and Taxi Service

  • 1 train: 181st Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue
  • A train: 184th Street and Overlook Terrace
  • Taxi: Call Family Car Service at 212.927.7676

Shuttles

All shuttles depart from and return to 186th Street and Amsterdam Avenue. A valid YU ID is required to board all shuttles.

The inter-campus shuttle requires advanced registration. To sign up for the shuttle from the Wilf Campus to the Beren Campus, call YU Security at 212.960.5200.

Local Shuttles

From 7 to 10 a.m., Sunday to Friday, shuttles depart every 15 minutes from the

  • A Train: (184th Street and Overlook Terrace)
  • George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal (179th Street and Fort Washington Avenue). The George Washington Bridge shuttle will then stop at the 1 and 9 trains (182nd Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue).

From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays and from 10 a.m. to Shabbat on Fridays, departures from YU Bus Shelter to above transportation locations and other authorized pick up/drop off locations are on an on-call basis.

Shuttles are also on an on-call basis at local authorized pick up/drop off locations from 4 p.m. to 7 a.m., Sunday to Thursday, and from 15 minutes after Shabbat ends on Saturday until 7 a.m. Sunday.

  • 184th Street and Overlook Terrace (A train and 4 bus)
  • Fort Washington Avenue and 179th Street (George Washington Bridge Bus Terminal)
  • Fort Washington Avenue between 181st and 190th Streets (after 7 p.m.)
  • 182nd Street and Saint Nicholas Avenue (1 and 9 trains)
  • 184th and 187th Streets at Bennett Avenue
  • 193rd Street and Fort George Hill
  • 193rd Street and Broadway
  • Angle parking on Amsterdam Avenue (above 188th Street, night only)

From Wilf Campus to Beren Campus

Departure Times (Sunday–Thursday)

3:30, 4, 5, 6, 6:30, 6:45, 7:30, 8, 8:15, 9, 9:30, 9:45, 10:30, 11 and 11:15 pm, midnight, 12:30, 1, 1:30 and 2 a.m.

Also, departing at 8 a.m. from 186th Street and Amsterdam Avenue, if space is available after Talmud Program passengers board.

On Fridays, shuttle will depart Wilf Campus for Port Authority, Penn Station and 245 Lexington Avenue at 10:30 and 11:30 a.m., and 12:30 and 1:30 pm.

On Saturdays, shuttle begins with the scheduled run that starts at least 45 minutes after Shabbat ends. (Example: If Shabbat ends at 8:35 p.m., runs will start with the 9:30 p.m. scheduled run.) Service will never start before 6 p.m.
