Dr. David Glaser has worked with Mario Davidovsky, George Edwards, Martin Boykan, and Jack Beeson. He is on the boards of the United States section of the League of Composers/ISCM and Parthenia, a consort of viols. A CD of his music will be released on the Albany Records label and the American Academy of Arts and Letters describes his work as “subtly potent...”

He is interested in composition and music theory.

He is the recipient of awards and commissions from the Fromm Foundation, the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and the Alice M. Ditson Fund, and has been a fellow at the MacDowell Colony and the Wellesley Composers Conference. He has been composer-in-residence at the NewMusic@ECU Festival at East Carolina University and at the Utah Arts Festival in Salt Lake City.

His music includes Concertino for Guitar and Chamber Ensemble (2017), String Quartet No. 4 (2016), Polaris (2012) for sextet, Catullus Dreams (2011) for soprano and chamber ensemble, Predella (2010) for viol quartet, commissioned by the Fromm Foundation; Aurora (2010) for flute, clarinet, violin, cello, and piano, written for the League Chamber Players, League of Composers/ISCM; Concerto for Clarinet and Chamber Orchestra (2008), commissioned by the NewMusic@ECU Festival for Christopher Grymes; Fantazy (2008) for tenor viol and bass viols; and Kinesis (2008) for guitar and string quartet. A CD of his works is available on Albany Records
