Wurzweiler’s Care Café to the Rescue

At the Wurzweiler School of Social Work, we not only teach our students the importance of community involvement and the power of transformation, but we also offer them a way to practice it. Care Café is our community-based program providing psychoeducational pop-up support “cafés” throughout the New York metro area. Care Café was born from our mission to provide outreach and involvement in the health of our communities. As the needs of our community are changing rapidly due to COVID-19, so is our outreach, crisis response, support and interventions.

Rapid Response Events

Our team has created events to help those in need manage direct and indirect responses to trauma during this global pandemic. At Wurzweiler, we want to create a space for our community to come together and heal each other as we all work through this hard time. We hope the following courses will help provide useful tools and guidance. The following events all take place through Facebook Live.
