Schneier Global Study Fellowship 2020

The Rabbi Arthur Schneier Program for International Affairs of Yeshiva University is pleased to announce the Schneier Global Study Fellowship.

Dr. Ronnie Perelis, director of the Schneier Program, announces that a limited number of research fellowships of up to $3,000 in travel funds will be available for Yeshiva University students pursuing original research with an international focus or for intensive language learning abroad.

The goal of the travel grants is to enable students to dive into the culture they are studying and appreciate the nuances that only come through spending time in a foreign place. Funds can be used to cover travel, lodging and research-related expenses.

To apply for these grants please send a one-page description of your project by March 20, 2020, to perelis@yu.edu. Be sure to indicate specific resources you will access through your travel and any institutional partners you will be working with abroad. Include a short budget, an itinerary and contact information for one faculty reference who could discuss the merits of your project.

Priority will be given to projects that include travel to countries where the participant has not spent a considerable amount of time. Projects that are focused on international relations and global culture but are based in the United States will also be considered.

Upon return students will submit a 2-3 page report on their activities and prepare a short oral presentation to be shared with the group of Schneier Global Scholars in the early Fall.

If accepted, students must comply with University travel regulations for their safety.
