Even though Spring 2026 graduation candidates are not required to participate in the ceremony, we do encourage you to join us. Be assured that your degree will be conferred, regardless of participation.

No.   It will not be live-streamed.

While all University degrees are conferred at the main ceremony, each graduate school will communicate their Commencement plans to their graduates regarding their specific school. A list of all graduate school ceremonies is available at yu.edu/commencement.

Unfortunately, not. The graduation fee covers many aspects of graduation, not merely the Commencement event itself. This includes students’ final evaluation of their degree eligibility and other ancillary costs, as well as the printing and mailing of your diploma. Therefore, there will not be a refund of this fee.

Diplomas will be mailed out 6-8 weeks after Commencement to the address that you have indicated on your graduation application. If you have any questions about your diploma status, please contact the Office of the Registrar.

Email commencement@yu.edu for any further questions.
