Commencement FAQs for the Undergraduate Ceremony

Please read below for answers to commonly asked questions. This page will be updated regularly as more details become available.

The Yeshiva University 93rd Annual Commencement Ceremony will take place in person in Louis Armstrong Stadium at the USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center in Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens, New York, on Wednesday, May 29, at 1 p.m. EDT.

Gates open at 11:30 am. Graduates and guests should arrive by 12 pm.

Upon arrival, please prepare to have your ticket to gain entry.  Guests will then proceed through security and then head into the stadium to their seats.   Graduates will proceed to their designated place of assembly.

The ceremony will begin at 1 pm and will run approximately 2.5 hours.

Louis Armstrong Stadium is an outdoor space with a tent-like roof used in the event of rain.   The ceremony will take place rain or shine, and the roof will be closed for our event.

Undergraduate Caps and Gown Distribution events will be held on each campus.  For more information visit the Tickets and Attire page.

All graduates will receive 6 guest tickets when picking up their cap and gown.

TThe facility is fully compliant with the American Disabilities Act (ADA) and has an abundance of accessible seating for guests. Once you arrive, there will be ushers to assist as needed. The University has also arranged sign language interpreters, we will make every effort to accommodate each request with appropriate advance notice.  If you are a graduate requiring accessible seating, please email

Yes, children ages 2 and over require a ticket. Strollers are permitted in the venue.

Yes, transportation will be provided to graduates from the Wilf and Beren Campuses.

Only graduates can take these buses.  Family, friends, and other guests must make their own transportation arrangements.

Photos will be emailed to graduates from our third-party vendor, Island Photography, after the ceremony.

Yes.  You may bring food with you to the venue.  Additionally, there will be beverages and light snacks available at a nominal fee. 

Even though Spring 2024 graduation candidates are not required to participate in the ceremony, we do encourage you to join us. Be assured that your degree will be conferred, regardless of participation.


No.   It will not be live-streamed.

While all University degrees are conferred at the main ceremony, each graduate school will communicate their Commencement plans to their graduates regarding their specific school. A list of all graduate school ceremonies is on

Unfortunately, not. The graduation fee covers many aspects of graduation, not merely the Commencement event itself. This includes students’ final evaluation of their degree eligibility and other ancillary costs, as well as the printing and mailing of your diploma. Therefore, there will not be a refund of this fee.

Diplomas will be mailed out 6-8 weeks after Commencement to the address that you have indicated on your graduation application. If you have any questions about your diploma status, please contact the Office of the Registrar.

The cafeterias will close on May 22, 2024.   There will be many dining options at the local restaurants which accept the flex dining dollars.

The caf cards will not be active after May 22, 2024.  Flex dollars will still be useable at local participating restaurants until May 29, 2024.

University Dining halls will be closed. Students will be able to eat together in their dorm lounges.

Move out for graduating seniors will take place on May 30, 2024. More details will follow in the coming weeks.

Yeshiva University ID Cards for the Spring semester will be active through June 2, 2024.

Productions will be open through May 24, 2024.  It will be closed May 28-29 and reopen on May 30, 2024.
