This past Thursday, Rabbi Schenker's 9th grade shiur went to Masbia, a soup kitchen in Queens. Along with Mr. David Leshaw, the class had the opportunity to come together as a group to help the needy. We helped people of many different cultures, religions, and languages choose their food for the week and helped them pack it. Getting to see what it means to be without the basic needs in life was a really great learning experience for us all. I think we did a great deed, and we should all continue to do so whenever possible.
