Dr. Paul Russo, vice provost and dean of the Katz School of Science and Health, announced the Katz School Faculty Research Initiative, which will provide financial and research support to projects by Katz School faculty as well as to collaborations between YU faculty, including Albert Einstein College of Medicine and Cardozo School of Law, and Katz School faculty and students. The research can be theoretical, empirical, applied, or clinical and must produce tangible outcomes in STEM or health (e.g., scholarly publications, conference proceedings, grant applications, and so on). Projects are limited to these priority areas: Artificial Intelligence; Cybersecurity; Biotechnology and Life Sciences; Applied Social Media and Analytics; or Health Sciences. In addition, all projects must include full-time Katz graduate students.  The deadline for applications for the 2022-23 academic year is July 11, 2022. Awards will  range from $1,000 to $5,000, with the average being around $3,000, depending on proposed outcomes and impact. Details and the 2022-23 RFP are available on the Initiative’s website
