Meet YU's Incoming Class

Bailey Frohlich of Boca Raton, Florida: From Tennis to Tanach In the coming weeks, Yeshiva University will welcome hundreds of new students to its undergraduate campuses from across the United States and countries around the world. Meet the incoming class as they share in their own words what excites them about beginning their academic journeys at YU at this year’s Orientation. baileyfrohlichWhere are you from? Boca Raton, Florida. I graduated from Katz Yeshiva High School and went to Michlelet Mevaseret Yerushalayim for my seminary year in Israel.  How did you find out about or decide to come to YU? My grandfather, both of my parents, and my mom's entire extended family all went to YU, which makes me a third-generation Yeshiva University student. I am proud to carry on my family's strong Torah U'Madda legacy. What are you looking forward to at YU? I hope to focus on biology, Tanach and political science. I cannot wait to be a member of the Lady Macs tennis team this coming fall and to explore YU's medical and science-related clubs and publications such as Derech Hateva... and of course I’ll be joining YUPAC! Torah growth will be an integral aspect of my experience at YU. I am so excited to take advantage of the rigorous and intriguing Judaic classes and faculty as well as attend the many shiurim and lectures that Yeshiva University has to offer. I cannot wait to explore New York City through cultural events as an S. Daniel Abraham Honors Program student, and overall, I am looking forward to an amazing, multi-faceted Yeshiva University experience! What are you passionate about? Tennis and athleticism, binge-reading any good literary classic, political activism, learning eye-opening Torah chidushim from passionate people, exploring new cities, and partaking in unfamiliar cultural activities in general. What are you hoping to do professionally or career-wise? I hope to embark on a pre-med track toward a medical degree at Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
