Senior University Dean of Students Spends Thanksgiving With 30 SCW Students

Dec 5, 2003 -- Dr. Efrem Nulman, senior university dean of students, didn’t spend his Thanksgiving having a quiet meal at home with his family. Instead, Dr. Nulman, along with his wife Rochelle and their two sons, Josh and Jonny, took a group of 30 Stern College for Women students who stayed at school for the holiday to Mendy’s Restaurant on East 34th Street to feast on a typical Thanksgiving meal with all the holiday trimmings. The program was put together by the Office of Residence Life. “It was a great day and my family had a lot of fun,” Dr. Nulman said. “We were able to meet the students and more importantly, the day gave them a chance to meet each other. We plan on making this a tradition.” Stern junior Molly Fink of St. Louis said Thanksgiving with the Nulmans and other students was just like being with family. “The food was great, the service was great, and the whole day was well organized,” she said. “All of us were really happy.”
