Jun 10, 2005
-- This year for Shavuot Yeshiva University students are taking the Torah to such diverse places as Manchester, England, and Melbourne, Australia, as part of the Blanche Schreiber Torah Tours program. Torah Tours, a project of the Max Stern Division of Communal Services at YU, sends students from Yeshiva College, Stern College for Women, and Yeshiva University’s affiliated Rabbi Isaac Elchanan Theological Seminary (RIETS) to share the Torah knowledge and enthusiasm for Yeshiva University with Jewish communities throughout the world. Beginning at Shavuot and continuing all summer long, YU students will be visiting close to 50 locations worldwide, from Glasgow, Scotland, Manchester, England, and Melbourne, Australia, to domestic destinations such as Kansas City, Las Vegas, and Boston.
