On Sunday, April 10, 2022, students from the Jay and Jeanie Schottenstein Honors Program went to see the new Broadway play, The Minutes, at Studio 54. Written by Tony- and Pulitzer Award winner Tracy Letts, and produced by the Steppenwolf Theatre Company, the play follows the inner workings of a small town's city council meeting and the hypocrisy, greed, and ambition that ensues. Attending the play, Sammy Intrator ’23YC reflected, "I was really satisfied and impressed with the Honors Program for offering a new opportunity to the plethora already offered, allowing for a more holistic experience. The play was a fantastic, thought-provoking story that challenged my inner conceptions about society, justice, tradition, and history."
The play was just one of many opportunities that were offered to Honors students throughout the past semester. Said Dr. Eliezer Schnall, director of the program, “As the academic year comes to a close, we are already in full swing planning thought-provoking and enjoyable programming for the fall 2022 semester.”
