Yeshiva University’s 88th Commencement

On Thursday, May 30, 2019, over 600 undergraduate students received their diplomas from Yeshiva University in front of a crowd of over 5,000 people at the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. Get a taste of the excitement of this special occasion from the videos and photos as well as hear the words of Dr. Ari Berman, President of Yeshiva University, and keynote speaker David Friedman, U.S. Ambassador to Israel, as they encourage the students to pursue lives of impact, purpose and values.

Throughout the month of May, the YU graduate schools held individual ceremonies to confer diplomas, honor their students and faculty and celebrate the completion of important milestones. Benjamin N. Celebrate Israel Parade

On Sunday, June 2, 2019, hundreds of undergraduate and graduate students from Yeshiva University as well as students from the Yeshiva University high schools joined thousands of marchers and spectators to show their support for the State of Israel. See photos of and read about the parade.

Talmidim, rebbeim, YU Roshei Yeshiva, family and friends joined the Marsha Stern Talmudical Academy/Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA) for its yeshiva-wide siyum and the conclusion of its annual scholarship campaign.

Rabbi Dr. Stu Halpern’s new book (YU Press/Maggid Books, 2019) received coverage in Tablet, Forward, Lehrhaus, Jewish Book Council and Jewish Review of Books, among others. It includes work by many YU faculty and alumni.

Dr. Katherine Mitchell of the Wurzweiler School of Social Work noted the proper way to honor those that gave their lives (The Breaking News Headlines).

Rochel Hirsch and Aryeh-Leib Deutsch appeared in the Jewish Standard, Samuel Gelman was mentioned in the Jewish Herald-Voice and Peri Zundell, Alexander Selesny and Liam Eliach were cited in the Jewish Star.
