YU's Office of Events Implements R25 Booking System and Web Calendar
The Office of Campus Events is pleased to announce the implementation of Resource 25 (R25), a centralized event and academic space scheduling system, at Yeshiva University.
R25 will be a valuable scheduling and marketing tool for the entire University. The new and improved system will act as a central repository of all University classes and events planned and promoted on the Wilf and Beren campuses. A key benefit will be the ability to view ALL campus events—including academic and non-academic events—to avoid double-booking, and the ability to promote scheduled events onto a master web calendar.
Effective Nov. 1, 2009, the Office of Campus Events will be operating exclusively in the new R25 system. Other key University partners—Office of the Registrar, Administrative Services, Student Affairs, Albert Einstein College of Medicine—are also working in the new system.
What does this mean for you?
Starting on Nov. 1, 2009, the Office of Events will no longer utilize the Request Forms you currently fill out and fax/e-mail to our office for your events. While your calls, e-mails and in-person inquiries are always welcome and will continue to be addressed, all official requests must be submitted via the new Event Request Form available online at www.yu.edu/events. Students should continue to first contact the Office of Student Affairs to review event ideas, and faculty should contact their Dean’s Office before proceeding with an event request.
Our event planning staff will review your request and you will receive a request confirmation. Provided there are no conflicts with the requested event/space, you will then receive an event confirmation (generated from R25), which will detail all of the aspects of your event (time, date, space, resources, set up, etc.). For the interim, you will continue to work with the Academic Computing department directly for AV requests and Food Services for your catering requests.
Please be aware you will be required to enter certain information into the Web Request Form in order to request an event, including an Event Description, Expected Head Count, and General Ledger number.
If you have flyers or images associated with your event, those can also be publicized on the Web Calendar. Contact the Events Office to learn how. If there is an event that you do not wish to be listed on the Web Calendar, please note that in your Event Request.
Powered by R25, the new Events Central Web site www.yu.edu/events will give all Internet users the ability to:
• View Yeshiva University event information online.
• Learn which events are current and view featured news and announcements.
• Request spaces, resources, and requirements for an event and track the progress of their request.
• Track events of personal interest in their own calendar.
Watch for communications about the R25 launch throughout the fall semester, and please contact the Events Office at Events@yu.edu with any questions or concerns.
