Yeshiva University Appoints Dr. Elad Granot as Dean of Undergraduate Sy Syms School of Business

A creative and visionary business school dean, Granot will lead the next phase of growth for one of YU’s most dynamic programs. 

Strengthening its commitment to business education rooted in both academic excellence and enduring values, Yeshiva University has named Dr. Elad Granot as Dean of the Undergraduate Sy Syms School of Business, effective in July. A three-time business school dean and entrepreneur, Dr. Granot brings decades of leadership marked by innovation, institutional transformation and a deep commitment to mission-driven education.

Dr. Granot’s career spans academic leadership as well as senior roles across corporate, private, military and venture-backed environments, including experience as a chief executive officer, chief marketing officer and venture capital investor, giving him a broad perspective on the evolving demands of the field. Trained in both Israel and the United States, he combines expertise in marketing and management with a demonstrated ability to design and launch cutting-edge programs, expand their reach, and build strong connections between the classroom, industry and the broader community.

Dr. Granot has led successful business schools in multiple states, with a record of strengthening academic offerings, achieving and maintaining AACSB accreditation, expanding enrollment and program revenues, and building strong partnerships with external stakeholders. 

Known as a creative and results-driven leader, he has consistently implemented innovative, student-centered initiatives, including experiential learning models, global programming and technology-driven curriculum enhancements designed to prepare graduates for a rapidly evolving business landscape. 

At Yeshiva University, he will lead the undergraduate Sy Syms School of Business at a moment of continued growth, as the University deepens its commitment to equipping students for leadership roles that integrate professional excellence with ethical responsibility.

Dr. Granot holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, an M.S. in Management and Marketing from Boston University and a B.A. in English from Tel Aviv University. 

As he assumes leadership of the undergraduate program, Dr. Granot will work closely with faculty and University leadership to further elevate the Sy Syms School of Business as a premier destination for students seeking both professional success and a values-centered education.
