Delegation From Mexico Visits YU

Came to YU as Part of a Tour of Jewish Communities in the United States From March 27 to March 28, 2019, a delegation of community leaders and professionals from several communities in Mexico City participated in a two-day International Yarchei Kallah [convention] on the Wilf Campus of Yeshiva University as part of YU’s efforts to reach out to communities across the globe and offer, when possible, a first-hand experience of the vibrancy and the excitement of the University campus. The event was coordinated through the Center for the Jewish Future (CJF) and the Office of International Admissions. Participants studied in the beit midrash [study hall] of the Jacob and Dreizel Glueck Center for Jewish Study, engaged and studied with Roshei Yeshiva [educational leaders], faculty and administrators and met with international students from Europe, Israel and South America. In addition, they participated in the Jewish Career Development Expo sponsored by the Azrieli Graduate School of Jewish Education and Administration and met privately with Dr. Rona Novick, dean of Azrieli. Dr. Berman, President of Yeshiva University, addressed the group and expressed his appreciation for the energy and passion they brought to the YU campus.
