If you’ve founded a company within the last 18 months, you won’t want to miss Dr. Noam Wasserman’s Founder Bootcamp, presented by the YU Innovation Lab The leading cause of failure within startups is poor people decisions.  Without a solid roadmap of these people decisions, founders are at an increased risk of having their founding teams splinter, harming growth, or being replaced as CEO. In contrast, with a solid roadmap, founding teams can increase their stability and achieve better growth. At Founder Bootcamp, which will be presented by Dr. Noam Wasserman, Dean of Sy Syms Business School,  you’ll learn about common problems facing startups, effective solutions, and a roadmap for success.  Among a wide range of areas explored will be:

• Characteristics that increase the likelihood that a founding team will be effective and stable.
• Goal setting for founders and startups that informs the strategy for financing the startup, hiring the best people to help it grow, and whether to build a board of directors.
• Issues that lead to a founder being replaced as CEO of his/her startup.

About Dr. Wasserman Dr. Noam Wasserman is the new dean of Yeshiva University’s Sy Syms School of Business.  He was an award-winning professor at Harvard Business School for 13 years before becoming the founding director of the Founder Central initiative at the University of Southern California, where he held the Lemann Chair in Entrepreneurship.  He is the bestselling author of two books, The Founder’s Dilemmas: Anticipating and Avoiding the Pitfalls That Can Sink a Startup (Princeton, 2012) and Life Is a Startup: What Founders Can Teach Us About Making Choices and Managing Change (Stanford, 2018), and the father of two YU graduates and one current student.
