On Thursday, September 12, 2019, the Yeshiva University Chinese Student Union (Yunxiang Wang, president), in collaboration with student leaders from Baruch College, the New School and Julliard and with support from the Katz School of Science and Health, organized a celebration of the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival.
Dr. Mordechai Cohen, associate dean of the Bernard Revel Graduate School of Jewish Studies, director of the Chinese-Jewish Conversation at Yeshiva University and faculty mentor to the Yeshiva University Chinese Student Union, spoke in both Chinese and English as he welcomed the participants, which included students from all the schools along with two representatives from the Chinese embassy. He also sang several songs in Chinese.
Students performed during the evening and participated in a raffle for prizes.
