On Tuesday, December 21, 2021, the Shevet Glaubach Center for Career Strategy and Professional Development hosted its annual What is Wall Street…other than investment banking? event virtually. Twenty-two students attended this event, which serves to educate those interested in finance on the alternate careers available to them in the diverse world of finance.

Adam Lauer

The evening kicked off with a keynote from Adam Lauer ’07SB, principal at Apollo Global Management, who gave a highly informative overview of the financial industries and the different types of roles available. This was followed by an executive panel comprised of individuals working in venture capital, treasury, financial consulting, and merchant operations. The firms American Express, Jefferies, Genpact, and Knickerbocker Financial Group were represented on the panel.
