MTA Students Become Diplomats at YUNMUN XXVII

6fe221f5-ce66-4e53-b2f0-54929256fc9a by Moshe Inger ('20) On Sunday, the 28th Annual Yeshiva University National Model United Nations (YUNMUN), an annual convention in which participating students from approximately 40 schools from around the country simulate United Nations sessions by representing different countries in different UN activities, kicked off. Over the course of the two and a half day conference, students had the opportunity to represent their assigned country's interests within a variety of UN committees. During the program, the "delegates" work together in an attempt to improve world conditions - whether it be by improving general economic standing, health concerns, lack of peace, and more. Congratulations to Ben Tzion Zuckier ('17) upon winning a Honorable Mention award in United Nations Office of Drugs and Crime (UNODC)! Thank you to the captains of the team, Ben Tzion Zuckier and Dani Rivlin ('17), and the faculty advisor, Mr. Sragow, for doing such a great job training us for the convention this year! To sum it up, we all had an amazing time, and can't wait to go to the YUNMUN convention next year!
