On Tuesday, November 4, our Senior class met with Mr. Matt Schwartz, Associate Director of Admissions at Yeshiva University. Matt, an MTA alumnus who also served in the Israeli Army, is very familiar to many of our our students because of his role in YUPAC. He has joined and assisted in a number of Hatzioni-led MTA missions to Washington.
Matt spoke about opportunities uniquely available at YU, as well as academic and need-based financial aid that YU offers its students. He also spoke about the very popular YU Israel program.
Many students stayed after the presentation to ask questions and seek advice about different aspects of the admissions process, and about how and when to apply, either to the regular program or to YU's Honors Programs. As the Early Decision deadline is next week, everyone is anxious to make sure to be correctly doing all that needs to be done. The program was hosted by our own College Guidance Department, in which Mr. Sragow and Rabbi Brownstein work closely with the members of the Senior class as they begin to think seriously about their post-MTA opportunities.
