This year, YUHSB will be adding a new program to its already packed extracurricular roster: Writing Center. The Writing Center is a revolutionary program in which students meet with a peer tutor on a regular basis to discuss composing essays and to learn how to improve one's overall skill as a writer, all in an inclusive and comfortable environment. On Wednesday, the program kicked off with the commencement of training for the first MTA Peer Tutors involved with the program: Rami Nordlicht ('16), CJ Glicksman ('16), Aryeh Ness ('16), Avraham Orlian ('15), Meechael Hizami ('16) and myself ('16). Led by Rabbi Schenker, Ms. Lewis, Mrs. Siegfried, and two student advisors from Yeshiva College, we began to learn the necessary skills to become successful tutors. The Writing Center is looking forward to kick off its inaugural season very soon to benefit students of all grades!
