Mountain Lions Grab Their Shovels

An unexpected early start to the Thanksgiving vacation found the MTA Mountain Lions Outdoors Club outdoors (would you have expected anything else?), enjoying the snow day.  But unlike other off days, when the Mountain Lions have gone hiking in the mountains, on Wednesday they were shoveling driveways for needy homeowners.
They posted a notice to the TeaneckShuls Yahoo Group, and a number of people responded.  Whether they were elderly or just found shoveling to be too physically demanding, they appreciated the offer, and the Mountain Lions were happy to help.  In the end, only an inch or two of snow fell in most places (quite a bit less than predicted!), so the jobs were not too difficult, but the Mountain Lions have committed themselves to these homeowners for future storms as well.
Students who wish to help in the future or homeowners who are in need should contact Ezra Epstein, co-President of the Outdoors Club, ateepstein@yuhsbstudents.org.
