A Unique Hebrew Test

by Gabi Rosenthal ('14)
After spending a whole year learning conversational Hebrew with Morah Haibi, her 12th grade classes were put to the ultimate test: having conversations with people they had never to spoken to in Hebrew before.
Over the past week, as our final, each student had a one on one ten minute conversation with either: Rabbi Taubes, Mrs. Rosenberg, Rabbi Richter, or Rabbi Schenker. The conversation included: speaking about our summer plans, our plans for next year, and our favorite restaurants and how to get there.
The conversations were a great way for each student to showcase what each of them had gained out of their year in Ulpan. These conversations were a great practice for when we will need to speak Hebrew to someone we've never spoken to before.
Thank you to Rabbi Taubes, Mrs. Rosenberg, Rabbi Richter, and Rabbi Schenker for taking time out of their busy schedules. And a special thank you to Morah Haibi for putting up with us the entire year and teaching us even though I'm sure we were a handful
