In light of Covid-19 health crisis, all Fall 2020 classes are online.

Application requirements
Central to admissions to the YU MSRE program is a demonstrated and strong quantitative background. This may be demonstrated through academic achievement in quantitatively-oriented courses, professional achievements, or GRE/GMAT quantitative scores. In light of the Corona-19 global pandemic, the GRE and GMAT examination scores are not a requirement for admission for the 2020-2021 academic year.

At three weeks, a comprehensive diagnostic exam is given, similar to what would be expected in an investment banking training program. Following the training module, students take foundational core courses, electives tailored to their interests. Instruction transitions to mastery through a capstone immersion where students work on a full-fledged real estate project in the heart of New York City.

Here's what you need to do to apply:

  • GPA of 3.0 and above (official transcripts)
  • Interview. Once your online application is complete and under review, you may be contacted by a member of the Admissions Office to schedule an on-campus interview. Please keep in mind: Interviews are by invitation only.
  • Two letters of recommendation

International students must take either the TOEFL, the PTE, or the IELTS — scores are valid for 2 years. You may be exempted if you have earned a degree from an institution in which English is the language of instruction. Learn more about visa requirements.
