- Laser pointers
- Firearms, knives and other weapons
- Coolers and wagons
- Strollers and car seats
- Oversized umbrellas
- Backpacks, large bags/purses and luggage
- Cans and glass bottles
- Food
- All other items the University may deem inappropriate
- Please turn off or silence your cellular phones and other electronic equipment to help ensure that all guests can hear and enjoy the event.
- Please avoid all unnecessary conversation and movement during the event.
- Be respectful. Individuals who engage in inappropriate or disruptive behavior (including noisy and unruly children) may be removed from the event.
- Heckling, booing, protests and demonstrations are not permitted.
- Everyone must have a ticket. Children should be seated with a responsible adult.
- Unauthorized alterations to caps and gowns are not permitted, and graduates cannot add items to the prescribed academic costume. Graduates should wear appropriate attire and footwear.
- Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is prohibited.
