On October 18, 2010, Professor Schrecker participated in a New York Times online round table discussion debating "Do Colleges Need French Departments?" with nationally recognized scholars Martha Nussbaum, Louis Menand, John McWhorter, Mark Bauerlein and Anne McCall.

Professor Schrecker granted a radio interview (November 8, 2010) discussing her book on "Viewpoints," a nationally syndicated program that aired on numerous affiliated stations.
