    Dean's Office: Welcome

It is my pleasure to welcome you the Wurzweiler School of Social Work website.  In just a few clicks, you will find everything you need as an applicant, student or graduate of our program.  When you look at our MSW and PhD degree programs, as well as our Certificate Programs, you will see that our plans of study and class schedules are flexible, and can accommodate the needs of a wide variety of students—working students, international students, joint degree students, full-time or part-time students.  Our unique one-on-one advising system helps students apply what they are learning in the classroom directly into their field placement duties and responsibilities.  Our Career Development Office helps prepare students for NYS licensing and job placement.

In our efforts to be environmentally friendly, Wurzweiler has created "The Forest" on our website where you can locate more detailed information about course syllabi, class schedules, calendars, study plans, policy manuals and the NASW Code of Ethics.  Whenever in doubt, check "The Forest" and if the information you are seeking is not there, let the Dean’s Office know and we will make sure to add it to the website.

Study with our outstanding graduate faculty who are dedicated to excellence in teaching, scholarship and service.  Study with a diverse student body that is committed to high standards of clinical practice, human rights advocacy, cultural competence and professional values and ethics.  Our graduates are known throughout the greater metropolitan area and in the global arena from Canada to Israel.  And our graduates are our best advertisement.  Wurzweiler cares about its students and alumni in a very special way.

Grow your professional social work career at our Washington Heights or midtown campus locations.

Stop by the Dean’s Office with any questions or concerns.  My door is always open.
