Einstein Medical College
In addition to an active and enthusiastic community of bikers, Yeshiva University's affiliated Albert Einstein College of Medicine (Einstein) has community gardens, thanks to its Garden Club.
- The Garden Club maintains 21 raised beds, up from 16!
- With well over 30 members, each cares for half a bed--roughly sixteen square feet.
- The club has an active food waste composting program with a new 3 bin compost system built by the students, supplemented with yard waste from Housekeeping.
- The club maintains a communial herb graden as well as communal grape and raspberry vines, peas, gourds, and roses.
The Community Gardens not only brings individual members but families, friends and everyone at Einstein to enjoy the gardens. So come check them out!
